The Sureguard Scarecrow covers quite a wide area so, depending on your situation, you may only need one device.
If pests can enter via several areas then install Sureguard Scarecrows in each location.
If protecting a swimming pool you should install one or more Sureguard Scarecrow at either end to fully cover your pool.

Just magic. Easy setup and not a possum in sight since. Shall move it to the front garden for a night or two to scare of a marauding cat.

We purchased the scarecrow to keep cockatoos off our new planted garden beds. I would plant out a new area of garden - the cockatoos would notice and pull plants out, bite off flower heads etc. It was heartbreaking. We have installed scarecrow and it works brilliantly.

This product is amazing!! Before purchasing the scarecrow we tried everything; fake snakes, owls chopped chili and sprinkled it on the pavement but nothing stopped the birds until we installed the product - we are so excited, no more ducks and no more droppings!!! Mal Weier3+ years agoFrightens possums and cats.This product frightens cats and possums out of their skins. I have seen the results on my security cameras. I have not yet seen the results on the digging scrub turkey. I am confident it will have the same effect on the turkey. All great so far.

Len Dunne3+ years agoGreat Bush Turkey deterrentThis product that I collected yesterday from Bunnings (I had to shop/check around to find a store that had product in stock) was a replacement for a unit that I purchased last year. Unfortunately the unit I was using from last year (2025) started to occasionally operate continuously. I would turn the water supply "OFF" then remove the batteries (and in one case I even replaced the batteries with a new set) and then reset the water and Gardena Water Timer. I checked the motion sensor to ensure it was working correctly (yes it was - I got sprayed with water as usual) and then left the Sureguard to do its work. However, from time-to-time, I spotted the Sureguard doing continuous spraying. So there was obviously a fault with the integrated circuit or the motion sensor. So I needed a replacement. When these units work - they work very well. It is the only device I have tried to keep the Bush Turkeys out of the garden. I supply the Sureguard with a Gardena Bluetooth Timer unit and I set the Timer for activation just before dawn and to turn "OFF" just after dusk. I also have a Pressure Regulator before the Gardena unit and this ensures the Sureguard has enough pressure to work without pumping too much pressure down the hose supply. The only other issue I have found with the Sureguard was the plastic supply riser moulding to the sensor head. There was a tendency on earlier model Sureguards for the threaded union to leak water - but this has been corrected in the revised model. I would recommend that Sureguard consider a much more "robust" commercial model using heavier duty mouldings or even die-cast or metal parts rather than plastic. And at a much higher price. If such a product was available, I would be interested.

Greg Graham3+ years agoAs bird scarer80 to 90% reduction in birds sitting on the front of my boat. Good battery life with minimal water usage. Have needed to replace unit after 3-4 years as the sensor appears to fail around this time.

We love animals heaps but had bush turkeys taking over! Scratchin up the garden, digging holes everywhere, comin onto the verandah and roof and poopin. Had enuf!!!Didnt want to harm them tho so this humane squirt of water was perfect .. it sent em running. We turn it off at night to allow nocturnal animals..owls, sugar gliders, possies etc to carry on. Totally recommend this. We only need it periodically now as the turkeys have been spooked🤗
