Two Installation Methods
The Pingg-String Ground Barrier can be installed in one of two ways. One uses a single wire and the other three wires.
1-Wire Barrier Design
Image Example 1
- If applicable, this is the recommended design.
- Applicable when the dog will touch the wire while standing on a conductive surface such as lawn or soil
- Set the wire height to 50cm or nose height for smaller dogs.
- Train larger dogs first. Then reduce the wire height for other dogs that are smaller.
- Install one continuous barrier or many separated barriers connected together with an insulated cable.
3-Wire Barrier Design
- Applicable when the dog is standing on an insulating surface such as pavers, concrete, decking, timber, mulch, or stones.
- Applicable to raised garden beds and terraces (to deter dogs from jumping).
- Install one continuous barrier or many separated barriers connected together with an insulated cable.
Checklist before starting this quote:
- The Pingg-String Energiser must be installed in full sun and facing northwards. Decide on a suitable location anywhere along the barrier.
NOTE: Most installations only need one Energiser. - The Pingg-String Ground Barrier has an above-ground wire. It cannot be used to cross pathways, gateways or driveways because the Pingg-Wire is above ground. Use the Wireless Dog Fence instead. Get a Quotation for the Wireless Dog Fence.
