Customer Reviews

If you have ducks in your pool then this is a must buy. It has been fantastic. Just wish I knew about the scarecrow a couple of years earlier.

Michael

Just magic. Easy setup and not a possum in sight since. Shall move it to the front garden for a night or two to scare of a marauding cat.

Peter

We purchased the scarecrow to keep cockatoos off our new planted garden beds. I would plant out a new area of garden - the cockatoos would notice and pull plants out, bite off flower heads etc. It was heartbreaking. We have installed scarecrow and it works brilliantly.

Tracy

This product is amazing!! Before purchasing the scarecrow we tried everything; fake snakes, owls chopped chili and sprinkled it on the pavement but nothing stopped the birds until we installed the product - we are so excited, no more ducks and no more droppings!!! Customer service was fantastic, delivered very quickly. Thank you!!.

    It really does work
We have had years of problems with ducks around and in our pool area during the day and night despite trying all sorts of other deterrents. The Sureguard Scarecrow motion activated spray repellent has been successfully keeping the ducks away from the very first day. Not having to clean the pool and surrounding deck has saved us time and water.

It Works! Keeps ducks off pool
Bought to stop ducks fouling 10m x 5m pool and surrounds. Have tried chemical treatments in water with limited success. This worked on day of installation! Plumbers tape successfully used to seal all threads to stop leaks.

    Neighbour's cat deterrent
After some initial minor setup issues such as leaking fittings, the product works well and appears to have solved the cat toilet issue in our garden. I just wish I could have seen the look on the cat's face when the sprinkler fired.

    Cat problem
After trying everything else to stop the neighbourhood cats using my yard as their toilet, I purchased the Scarecrow. It did an excellent job. Quite entertaining for a week or so and now they've given up. No more cats.. This product is awesome..

No more Ducks in the pool
One Sureguard Scarecrow sprayer at each end of our 23m pool and decks HAS stopped a pair of ducks from moving in when we're not here. Very happy with the result.

    Scarecrow motion activated sprinkler
This is a great product. Take the time to set it up. Test the spray distance. Test the spray pattern and detection area. (more comfortable in summer,or get the kids involved!) This will help you decide the best placement. Can recommend.

THESE DEVICES REALLY WORK! VERY HAPPY!
We have a neighbour with ten cats she allows to roam at all times. We had up to four stray cats on our front verandah, peering in our windows, and more in our front garden. Since installing the Sureguard Scarecrow devices, we’ve had no intrusions by pest cats and our own indoor cat is much less stressed. We have also found that Sureguard’s after sales service is excellent. We can heartily recommend these devices! 👍🏼

Fantastics product from a fantastic company
Wanting to save a beautiful Prunis blossom tree from my furry enemies I bought the Scarecrow. I initially had a problem with assembly but had no hesitation from the company in relation to replacement of faulty part. Could not fault them. Reassuring that it is an Australian company and so easy to access. Finally got all parts working and waiting now for the action tonight. The water spurt is so strong and reaches well over three meters.

    Sureguard Animal Sprinkler
Was easy to set up. Took a while to stop water leaks as parts needed tightening up. I find the height is too high for cats as the length of the spike and unit puts the spray over top of the animals body. Spray adjustments are either short wide spray over over long for my garden. Does it work Yes, am i happy with it Yes I would buy one. The cats get wary so it need to be moved around so they do not get used to its position. Give it **** stars. [EDITOR: Thanks for your valuable feedback. On page 4 & 5 of the manual you'll see the Up/Down adjustment and Spray Spread Adjustment. These two setting will allow better targeting of the cats.]

    Scarecrow
Very affective to keep dogs off the lawn. Hard to tighten hose connnection and it leaks. Will try a washer. [EDITOR: tip - hold the ring stationary where it leaks, hold the other end of the shaft where the T hose junction is. This gives leverage to fasten firmly. We will upload a video to youtube very soon to demonstrate this.]

    Scarecrow Motion Activated Sprinkler Repellent
I've had cats doing their business in the garden at the front of my house. I couldn't think of a way to keep them out other then an electric fence, and I came across this motion activated sprinkler ( scarecrow ) from Sureguard. When I first got it , I had to set it up and use thread tape to seal any hose connections where it screws on to prevent any water leaks, but got that all sorted and worked out the best place in the garden to put it and we are go !! it actually really works great !! However I may need to purchase one more so I have one at each end of my garden covering all entry points so nothing gets past without getting sprayed lol

    Finally we have a crop
Purchased a scarecrow to try and keep a crop of macadamia nuts from being decimated by black cockatoos as the tree has been for the last two years, even though it says not suitable for birds that are in trees or high up. A little "bush ingenuity" saw me mount it up high on a length of pipe and voila, we now have a harvest of macadamias for the first time instead of a lawn covered in chewed up nuts. It took a bit of trial and error to get the sensitivity sensor to oblige but the squadrons of hungry black cockys vandalising the tree has thankfully stopped.

    It actually works!
I had almost given up finding a way to keep the ducks out of my pool. I will admit I was sceptical when I installed the Sureguard ScareCrow, as I have just about tried everything. But it has been five weeks now and it is actually working, and I am very happy about that. There is an added bonus of amusement when the humans forget about it being there! Great job, thank you. I have and will continue to recommend this product to others.

    Stopped Brush Turkeys nesting
Some Brush Turkeys started nesting in the garden. I applied the things I knew about. Rolls of wire laid out on the lawns. Logs put down to impede them moving leaf litter around, rocks to make it uncomfortable, chasing them, collecting their litter pile and removing it, etc. It wasn't enough. The activated sprinkler looked to me as though it might work. (Among a number of products which didn't seem like such good bets.) I got one and it worked on the Turkeys. I removed the wire and they came back, but when I applied all the measures they went away again. They still come in daily. to check it out but have now stopped seriously trying to build a nest in the garden. It took more than one approach, but without the scarecrow, it wasn't working. With it, it did work. I tried various combinations of settings, which seemed to help. I'm pleased I found this device. Recommended.

    Rooftop Relief from Pigeons
Our neighbour feeds wild birds up to three times a day and refuses to stop or even scale it back, despite contact from the toothless Council. We were constantly bothered by pigeons, magpies, cockatoos etc. landing on our roof, making a noise and also making a terrible, corrosive mess with their droppings. I saw where another reviewer had used the Sureguard Scarecrow sprinklers for a pigeon problem, so I decided to try them too. A friend welded up a couple of simple brackets that slid under the tiles at the edge of the roof. Once installed the sprinklers have worked beautifully. They were very busy initially but after 10 days or so there has been a "training effect". A few magpies manage to slip under the radar every now and then but the pigeons and other species are keeping away completely! Very effective and great fun too.
