How the Cat Fence Works
An electronic device called a Pingg-String Energizer puts a special electrical impulse on the barrier wire. This impulse feels like strong static electricity. Your cat will quickly learn that touching the wire is unpleasant and will avoid repeating the experience. The barrier comes in two styles.
Note: The Pingg-String is NOT the same as a farm electric fence. The electrical impulse will not harm your cat. It is illegal to use a farm electric fence on cats.
Two-Way Cat Fence
Two-Way Barrier installed
at the top of your fence.
This Two-Way Barrier works in two directions. It stops your cat escaping and stops other peoples' cats from entering your property.
The barrier secures easily to the top of most fencing. Steel brackets are screwed onto the fence about every 1.8m (6ft). These brackets support three fine wires which form the Pingg-String Fence Barrier. Your cat will try to push between the wires but will be repelled.
Viewed from a distance, the barrier is virtually invisible. You can create a barrier of any shape or configuration up to 120m (470ft) long. Sections which are separated are easily joined together. The barrier can also be attached to single and double gates while still allowing them to be opened.
This kit comes complete for all types of fencing (eg. timber, colourbond, etc) except the following, where additional materials should be purchased from a hardware store:
1/ masonry fences - purchase suitable masonry fixings for the brackets. 2/ pool fencing, weld mesh fencing, or brush wood fencing - these will require an additional timber support on which to secure the steel brackets. 3/ pool fencing - may require wire mesh on the lower section of the fence to stop your cat pushing through there.
Note: Choose the One-Way Barrier for long haired breeds where the nose is covered by fur. For example: Persians and Longhairs.

on your side of the fence.
This One-Way Barrier works in one direction to stop your cats escaping over your fence. Suitable for all types of cats.
A barrier wire is placed at the top of your fence. The One-Way Barrier is suitable for all types of fencing, provided you can install the wire supports every 75cm (30in) along the top edge of your fence.
Create a barrier of any shape or configuration up to 250m (940ft) long. Sections which are separated are easily joined together. The barrier can also be attached to single and double gates while still allowing them to be opened.
Note: This kit is generally not suited to pool fencing, weld mesh fencing, or brush wood fencing.
